20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
When I was able to put it together, when all the mental tumblers fell into place, I had this flash of several verses throughout the New Testament that speak to things done and spoken in the dark coming into the light. I knew then that God is working His plan and, praise Him with great praise, He is allowing us to see it play out in real time. One of my all time favorite Christmas carols is I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. What resonates and lifts my heart are the words,
“Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men.”
Those words send a shiver down my spine and makes me praise the Lord even more.
As we go through Lent and prepare for that most glorious day, Easter, let’s remember that ours is not a god made of hands but a living, breathing, present God above all gods. Praise Him with great praise!
Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 150)
